Re: What are some good parts
Well I would suggest reading up on some build threads and using Search to get the most info, but here's mine:
B20B block, OEM Honda B20 crankshaft, Manley I beam rods, CP 84.5mm 12:1 Pistons, ACL bearings and ARP hardware throughout. 4Piston CNC B16a2 head, GE LSVTEC kit, Supertech springs/retainers, Skunk2 Pro1 cams, Skunk2 Ultra intake manifold, 68mm TB, AEM V2 intake,AEM fuel rail and regulator, PLM 2L header, Thermal 3" exhaust, LSD S4C transmission with ACT organic clutch kit, 12# flywheel, DSS 2.9 axles. Tuning is done via Hondata s300 chipped P28 Ecu. When it was all motor it made 235hp/175tq
(RC310cc injectors+93 gas)
Now I am boosted with a GTX3076R, Full Race Prostreet ram horn manifold, FullRace 3" down pipe, Greddy FMIC, ID 1200cc injectors. ~450whp/350wtq @ 13.5-14psi. 93 gas + Race Gas additive.
I basically chose the parts I did because they are reputable companies and parts that have proven to make power. Along the way I have went through numerous exhaust setups, intake manifolds, different cams(Type R, Tuner2s,Pro1s etc) went from stock head to ported, Etc. the most important thing I have realized is cheap and reliable rarely go together. Stay away from any no name generic eBay crap or be ready to have it cause problems. Do things right the first time and your build will live a long healthy life. My B20 is now a VTEC engine as you see, which is not how Honda designed it, however with the right parts and attention to detail in the build this hybrid engine has made great power for me nearly 4 years and 20,000 miles now! Check everything twice, keep searching the forums and read reviews, get all the information you can before spending your money and you will thank yourself in the end for not being impulsive.

Read this --> https://honda-tech.com/forced-induct...2A%2A-1024174/ and come back with a specific question - opinion threads like this are worthless
