Default What size tial spring should i use?

Buying my tial 38/40mm gate in a few minutes or so...im looking to boost around 1 bar give or take...what are the rules for wastegate springs? do you buy the spring to match the boost you want or do you buy a smaller spring say 12 psi or so...i will also be using a manual boostcontroller...

Get a spring for the lowest boost you ever want to run. Use the MBC to tweak up to your highest boost point.

Example: I have an 8.7lb spring, and will have a MBC to turn up to 12lb.

i believe you should get a spring that is just over half of what you plan to run max. I have heard you can only run double the psi setting of the spring.
