Default EGT too high at normal driving(3200rpm)

I think my computer is running in safe mode because I removed the secondary oxygen sensor. My EGT goes up to about 12 on the Autometer EGT gauge. It doesn't read past 12 when I am in full boost though. It only goes very high at cruising speeds out of boost. I am just curious if the computer is messed up because I am not running a catalytic converter. I am currently waiting on my Skunk2 wiring harness so I can convert it to OBD I, using a P72(94-95 GSR) I have 310cc injectors with a MSD inline fuel pump that came with the kit so I know it is getting the enough fuel.

Default Re: EGT too high at normal driving(3200rpm) (Vonte')

Does anyone know why they would be too high at normal driving?
