what should i turbo b20b or b18b in my hatch

Default what should i turbo b20b or b18b in my hatch

so im torn between these 2 engine a b20b turbo or a b18b turbo to drop in my hatch i know the b18b swap is bascillaly plug and play just drop right in....


a b20 swap what would i need to drop it in my eg i know i would us a gsr trans but that all i know what haness should i use what kinda mounts ecu??????????????im really leaning to b20turbo but is their any problem with the turbo setup?????????

the b20b is the same as the b18b, the cylinder walls are just 84mm

so boost wise b20 just as good as a b18 and what will i need to install a b20 into my eg like what mounts which ecu what engine harness?????

honestly the b18 would be better for boost because the cylinder walls are smaller, but if you are wanting to go for the b20 then you can use the same mounts as the b18 and such.. the engine harness you can use your stock harness and the ecu should be a p75. You can have the p75 chipped and tuned for the boost, are you just going bXX turbo or ls/vtec turbo??

so like a stock ls harness will plug right into a b20 like injectors.disturbuter.altanotor noo kinda of cuting and mating........... and no vtec= to expensive to repalce if i blow

the b20 is just like the b18 you can use everything on a b18 on a b20. you actually have to use a b18 intake mani because the b20 one is too tall. if you have a civic you dont use the stock ls harness you use the engine harness thats for the car not the motor.

dam my real main question was not about forced induction it was what required to put a b20 in a eg i know i can use a ls,gsr,or typer trans integra mounts p75 ecu

i guess my main concirn is the harness if i use a ls harness is their any kinda modifing to thhe harness i got to do


but since any way my thread is here how safe is it to run b20 turbo on 10lbs i just want to drive it as a daily so just preety much turboing it and calling it a day

i got a stock ls harness laying aound id rather use but that will plug right into the b20 and i have to swith the intake manifold because of fit mint issues

You need to stop thinking in terms of PSI since that term really means nothing. Each turbo makes a different amount of power at a different pressure ratio (fancy word for PSI ). That said, you should set your goals in terms of power. I think a reasonable goal for your setup would be around 300whp depending on fuel grade and the turbo setup.

Furthermore, i would go with the LS rather than the B20 (now i know i'm going to catch crap for this) because the B20 has WEAKER, not thinner, sidewalls. They have been known to crack under less stress than other B series cylinder walls; although, there are people who have made great power with them on stock sleeves...
