Get Standards.. dont buy Dealer bearings given I doubt you can color match them to fit.

ok how to clearance them? or you talking measure them and use the honda chart for fit? Last time I saw a honda chart it only gave you a reference of number and letter to get a color to purchase.
I usually use ACL standard bearings and have yet to have a problem with fit on my engine rebuilds

What do you consider way off?

i got Clevite STD size bearings with my eagles on the D16Z6
the clearance were perfect... on the .2 side
i say, get standard, plasti gate them, and go from there into oversize or something

i am at work and dont have the specs with me
i had it on the plastigate 2 bar ( 0.02, 0.002, 0.2 wichever, i cant remember now, u should know what i mean)
wich means u have it on the loose side a lil bit
Honda makes the clearances to last on a motor for 200k miles
if u want peak performance u want it a lil looser than stock to get better lubrication, less friction and best response
way before this engine reaches another 100k , i will be rebuilding it again.....
so whats ur point?

What makes you think the clearances that Honda recommends for a STOCK engine will be good for an engine designed for high performance with aftermarket parts?
