what ratio fmu should i use on a turbo ls running like 12-13 psi, with 450cc dsm injectors and an afc. i have a 12-1 right now, just like to know around what range i should get. it will be tuned and everything. and no, im not doing an afc hack, i would rather just run the fmu

Seems like a silly way to do it, but I'm pretty sure that a 6:1 would do the trick.

the car will idle/run terrible with an FMU and 450's. get an Uberchip for the same price as an FMU.

hoiw would that be a silly way to do it, i would run the 450's and fmu, and use the safc to tune it out, seems easier than an afc hack where u gotta mess with the ignition timing

yeah it would be fine with that setup and 12:1

the whole reason you get 450 injectors is so you can run without the fmu isnt it?? so they will supply enough fuel on their own then use an vafc or something to piggyback it??

Re: (00si5)
so ur saying i still would need to run the 12-1 fmu with the 450cc? i was thinking like 6-1 or 8-1.. I think the 12-1 is overkill on 450cc

I think a 4:1 would be right. I use a 4:1 with my 370s and add fuel with my e-manage. A 6:1 should be right for 370s

What is it with people and these things... the whole reason for the hack is to elimate the high pressure raising rate regulator (FMU) and to tune it using some sort of fuel controler.

what turbo are u using ? i'm curious.
but yeah try 4 or 6:1 that should get u the fuel. get a high pressure pump if u don't have one.
don't hate, appreciate the RRR.

I say a 6:1
here's how I calculated it 12 * 240 = 2880, 2880 / 450 = 6.1
12 = recomended setting w/ stock injectors, and 240 is injector size, along with 450
another benefit is that the fuel pressures will only be half as high as the 12:1 setup

High fuel pressures = bad Mmmmmkay?
AFC hack = enough fuel, stock fuel pressures, everyone happy
But *if* you're so stuck on using the FMU with those 450's, try something higher than 6:1...reason being: you want to be SAFE than sorry! But then again, I don't know how safe you'll be with an FMU in the first place... LOL! It's a new oxymoron!

FMUs are always safe...
