What mods do i need, help me out please
I have a 1992 non vtec honda civic lx. I dont know to much about this motor, but i would like to boost it. I plan on going the turbo route but need to know what kinda of compression pistons, brand and other info needed to safely build and hold boost reliably. I already searched but couldnt find exact info on my car and piston info etc. I plan on going with a hks kit as well and would like to run low 13's.

There isn't much aftermarket support for the 1.5L D15B7.
What I would recommend is buying a kit designed for a D16Z6 (92-95 Civic EX), and then using that on the stock motor. You can always upgrade to a 1.6L and build that later on. You'll thank yourself for doing your first turbo setup on a POS motor so that you learn what you're doing.
The D15B7 can handle 160-170 WHP reliably, which should be good for 13's if you're a good driver. A good starter kit is the greddy kit, which is bolt on and go...although you'll have to buy an intercooler and BOV for it.

Thanks for you help. If i were to boost, would i be able to use the same kit on a different motor if my motor were to blow. i have about 145k on it, and im not sure if i want to go through a motor swap right now, especially with my funding. With the greddy kit how many psi would i be pushing, and what mods would i need so that i can safely do it
thanks

The greddy kit operates at ~6psi with the blue box (engine management that comes with it), and it can be run on any 92-95 DX, LX, or EX and any 96-00 EX
