dont just send your block to any machine shop for a line bore. Not too many places can do it correctly, I suggest GE or ERL or any company that sleeves alot of Honda Blocks, your oil pump will thank you.

you should be find with an OEM girdle, just most shops simply cant do it correctly from what I have seen/heard. I know friends that had oil pump issues, it always came down to the line bore.

Re: (saviour250)
you can also go on ebay an type in b18 main girdle and add support to the bottom end that way. you will have to utilize the pan windage tray and oil pickup and still remain using the b16 main caps makes for an easy installation and no machine shop needed. the gsr parts can be picked up relatively cheap and the girdle is about $120 so it probaly comes out even with the machine shop all comes down to how much time you have to wait for the machine shop. If you have any questions just ask i'm doing this on my boosted ls/vtec

Recommended Oil Pump & Pickup
- Use Stock Oil Pump & Pickup

Re: (saviour250)
I believe that the ls/b16 oil pickup are the same and the type-r and the gsr are the same so i do not believe you can use your stock b16 oil pickup due to them having longer legs to mount. so I believe that you are going to have to acquire a gsr/R pickup and I believe they have no clearance issues with the moroso pan. good luck

Re: (saviour250)
I've seen other just have the tops of the main caps machined to accept the girdle. No need to use the gsr mains and have to line bore.

Re: (saviour250)
We have some OEM GSR girdles we (ERL) can put on your block if you would like or you can buy one of our ERL 5Pt. girdles with ARP stud kit. You can use your B16 caps and just cut them down, there is no need to get a set of B18C caps. That way you don't have to align bore it also. If you want you can pm me and we can figure out a way for you to ship us your block so we can do the caps and sleeve it if you want.
