Tiff and Street wires sell small sportcompact batteries, that put just as much current out as Yellow Top Optima's. They do cost a arm and leg thouhg, between $300 and $400! I don't know if they are light weight or not, the are just hella small compaired to the stock battery. You might run this one buy the guys in the Car Audio forum.

Tractor batteries work well.
There are people here in Phoenix that run a tractor battey from Wal-Mart.
It weighs 10 LBS and costs $19.99. Thats a savings of 15 LBS over stock.

batteries are not gonna make that much of a difference in your times. 10-15lbs is not even = to tenth of second its more like 100th of second concentrate on reducing weight in other areas. Like all the sound deading material.

for the most part 100lbs = 1 tenth and 10-15 lbs is a start in the right direction to weight loss

Re: What lightweight batteries are out there (PROFILE GSR)
Ive heard its more like 75 LBS = 1/10th of a second.
Also the lighter you go...the more the weight affects it.
15 LBS isnt that much...but it adds up. 15 here, 20 there...

I would just go ahead and get the ArtTurbo 9second battery. It is track proven. I heard if you order a battery from him, he'll throw in a downpipe WITH flexpipe for $300. Good deal if you ask me.
