What kind of power are you guys making with 14b's? and i have an exhaust question.
Hey guys, i'm putting together my single cam boost project and had a couple of questions.
First off, the setup:
14b turbo
hf manifold off a crx with adapter plate
dsm sidemount
dsm bov
dsm 450cc injectors
Now my exhaust question was this. I'm wanting to run a downpipe with a cutout, so i can still keep a sleeper look and have the stock exhaust still on the car. But what size downpipe do i need, and what exhaust cutouts would you guys recommend?
And as stated above, what kinda power are you guys making on 14b's. Just hoping for about 200whp at 8 psi.

I had a 14b on hf manifold with a roadrace engineering flange made a 2.5" to 3" downpipe. at 12 psi on a bone stock d16z6 hit a 13.1 at the track on the 450's
later hit a 12.0 with a 75 shot and 16 psi built

You won't hit 200whp at 8psi, but just turn the boost up. What "psi" you run doesn't make any difference. With a good tune your motor can handle 200-225whp no problem. For the downpipe you might as well just get a 3 inch, not sure about what brand od e-cutouts are good though.
I like the setup by the way, that's defintely homemade turbo style.
