What intake Manifold should i get??
I just got done building my motor and im breaking it in with all the stock parts in place. when i get done with break in i will be going back to placing all my aftermarket parts back on.
The thing is that i want to make 300+ hp on as little amount of boost as possible. Here is my setup that i will be running. So i was wondering what manifold i should run to compliment this setup fo the optimal hp numbers.
MOTOR:
9.5:1 JE pistons
Eagle Rods
STR block gaurd
3 angle valve job on head
stiffer exhaust springs
T3/T4 57 trim .63ar turbo
all custom 2.5 inch piping
Greddy intercooler with custom end pieces to make them 2.5 inches
Greddy BOV
RevHard turbo manifold
Arturbo's downpipe(i will make a close loop on it)
3" thermal exhuast
Energy Suspension motor mount bushings
FUEL:
fuel pump(i forget what i have)
aeromotive fuel regulator
STR fuel rail
720cc injectors
all new lines for the fuel(bigger)
Manigement:
Accell DFI
MSD 6al ingnition
Blaster SS coil
Tranny:
Mueller flywheel(8lbs.)
ACT heavyduty pressure plate
ACT street/srip disk
Quaife LSD
I think that is all besides all my electronics and suspension setup. if i need to post those, not sure why, then i will.
I was talking to a shop and they said they could get a JG edelbrock manifold for like 325 and that it is one of the best on the markets today.
what do you guys think.
well i gotta go,
Josh

you neglected to mention what motor....
but, I'd recommend the JG. I think it's one of the better manifolds on the market, and the easiest to work with.

Re: What intake Manifold should i get?? (Ltech)
Sorry about not posting my motor.
I have a B16A2 in my 99 civic si. Also do they make these manifolds for this motor? and my main question is it worth the 325 to get? Im going for 300hp daily driven so if its going to be worth it then im game!
Another question is what about throtle bodys? Will i need a bigger one or will the stock one work fine with this manifold?
Sorry about the questions, im going to get the magizine when i get out tonight, so maybe that will explain alot.
thanks for the info though,
Josh

stock will be fine to make your power you set out for. Maybe massage it a little...might be cheaper, but yeah...the JG manifold does look pretty nice.

What manifold is better for turbo?
Sorry i dont know much about this stuff, it seems like one of those annoying noobs.
But i thought Skunk2 did alot of N/A stuff, not turbo. hmmmmm
what do you guys think?
thanks again,
Josh
P.S. Oh and should i be teaming this manifold up with a certain throtle body?

I really like the HP Racing intake manifolds, great quality and they aren't that high. I have one on my 89 si.
