What hp will my setup max out at?
Hey guys, I am going to be building my block and am curious as to how much power I can make on what I have before I max out the kit.
Engine is a B16a. It has a Full-Race B series Stage 1 Kit
http://www.full-race.com/catal...85485
They say it is good for 450hp but I am curious if that is conservative or stretching it.
It includes a
garrett t3/t04e 57 trim .63 a/r turbo
Intercooler is 20"x8"x3"
and I have RC 750cc saturated injectors. Walbro 255lph hp fuel pump. Pump gas only (93 octane).
What is max power this can support and what would be holding me back?

ive made 430 with that turbo @ 22psi with a 83mm sleeved b18c on 1000cc injectors. I maxxed my 880's at 410whp, also at that point you start to max the limits of a 255 intank pump. Get a GM 3 bar MAP as well, i didnt see that in your list. As for pump 93, 320-350whp on a stock engine isnt a problem, 9:1 motor low 400s isnt a problem...
basically your fuel, pump, and injectors are your limiting factors to around 400whp on a built engine. Anything more, you need more fuel and better fuel!

did you make that power with the .63 hot side or .82? and did you keep the stage III wheel it comes with or did you have the stage V? i was always under the impression that the turbo was good for 450 assumiong it had the stg V wheel and .82 hot side.

.63 hotside w/ stage III wheel. The turbo alone will not net you the numbers, you need every other supporting mod to attain excellent numbers. I had skunk2 mani, ITR cams, RAMhorn, 3" open DP, and we revved it to 9,000. I have seen setups with SC61's not break past 280whp because the rest of the setup hindered the turbo's ability to make power. I honestly think i could have seen 480, POSSIBLY 500 with 28-30psi on my old setup.

Yea i forgot to mention I have a GM 3 bar also.
I am going to be getting pistons and rods so I will most likely go low compression.

Agreed. I also have a 64mm throttle body, skunk 2 IM, GSR Cams, AEM Fuel rail and FPR, 3" downpipe, 3" testpipe, 3" exhaust, and some other things.
