what headgasket are you guys using for boosted engines?
other then oem honda headgaskets, what other brands are there for the d16a6?
i was reading some of the post and some are saying a D16 headgasket will work on any D16 engine. is this correct?

are the metal aftermarket h. gasket resuable?
such as, if i had to open the head a few times to inspect it for whatever reasons or will the gasket not reseal on the second or third time around??

so do i tell them what thickness i want before ordering?
how do i know how thick i need it to be?

i would go either thicker, or oem thickness
everything should be on their website, or whatever place you're ordering from

I would never touch Cometic.... go with OEM or Golden Eagle which uses OEM and just bores them out

I went the Cometic cause that is what the shop had. But at the time I was gonna get a Golden Eagle gasket.

so far what i am understanding.
cometic lets you get custom thickness.
does golden eagle also let you custom the thinkness?
im also curious why doesnt the bottom end also warp when the engine overheats?
everyone seems to only point out that its the heads that are only warped when the engine overheats.

ware do you get your info there is one reason we now cut oem gaskets and thats because we had nothing but problems with cometic gaskets been cutting oem gaskets for over 5 years now with no problems oem is hands down the best gaskets to run

what about for a 85mm bore block.. i think that i am going to have to use cometic head gasket... if i could get e stock head gasket that size.. it wouldl be great..

in past experiences on a old single cam set-up....
I went Cometic cause it seemed like the right thing to do" Aftermarket Race item"
blew one within 3 weeks of my new set-up
then blew the next one after a month and half or so and I did have Arp's in..I got a tip to use OEM didn't really agree but the source was from someone thats had boosted cars for years....Tried it ran strong for 2 years until I killed a piston
OEM= FTW now just gotta figure out my 84.5 issue I'm gonna have?LOL
