What happens when you kit your revlimiter/fuel cut off in a FI car? Does it go super lean and blow?

no, it doesn't blow. But on most cars, fuel is cut. What you want is ignition cut.

aftermarket ignition so that it cuts spark, not fuel. when fuel is cut, spark still fires, can cause the car to run lean. lean is bad. with spark being cut, fuel just gets dumped which will result in a rich condition when you get off of the limiter. much better that way.
