Default What happens if your crank is 1/4 oz (7 grams) out of balance.

I found this in an older magazine:

1/4 oz at 4" from the center of a rotating crankshaft..
2000 rpm = 7 lbs
4000 rpm = 28 lbs
6000 rpm = 64 lbs
8000 rpm = 114 lbs
10000 rpm = 180 lbs

This can be a damaging force on your bearings and oil pump
so balance those cranks

Damn, I knew the stress increased with RPM's, but that's a shitload! 180lbs~!
