And, CP also makes a solid piece for a good price. They now offer them with moly and ceramic coatings. I'm using Wiseco's with moly skirts.

You can't go wrong with either CP or Wiseco. Both companies make good pistons. I personally run CP and have had nothing, but good experience with them.

Diet Pepsi cans with a Sweet&Low coating seem to be the 'hot' setup. I think the guy is from Oyster Bay Long Island and goes by the name of Billy 'the kid'.

this guy drives a CRX and supposedly has some homemade pistons....
i actually ran into him one night and he raced me. his LS/Vtec motor vs. my LS Turbo. with stock internals.
anyways, he smoked the F out of me, beat me by about 1 car length from the start and i slolwy caught up to hom while one 4th, but the race was already over.
he said he welded some crushed aluminum can and welded it to his pistons to increase "compression.
his name was Alex by the way. Drove a red crx LS/Vtec and smoke the F out of my ride. His legend continue to this day. </TD></TR></TABLE>
great story
I have seen Wiseco take a great amount of boost

Do some searches on them, it seems that the D-series guys go with SRP's most likley because of the cost. There is mixed opinions on SRP's, but if its a high end build go with CP's or Wiseco.

Wiseco all the way. After seeing a friend's CP's, and the carnage, I've deduced that the metal left on the edge of the intake valve relief is wayyyy too thin-- I don't care what people say, it looks damn scary .. +Wiseco's come with the skirts coated standard now.
SRP's are made of a lesser quality material. I've heard of a lot of builders using them for basic OEM replacements, or on cars that really aren't going to be pushing much power at all. The good thing about them, is you can run your piston to wall clearances much tighter, due to the fact of the lesser thermal expansion.
