what to expect...3inch chambered muff to straight through @ 350whp~
Well recently while getting my car tuned we hit a wall. 346whp at 11 psi and after upping the the boost to 13 psi ,made 347. after several dyno pulls we came to the conclusion that my magnaflow chambered muffler was the restriction.
Well as i don't have the money to get the muffler now and go back for a retune, i was wondering if anybody has experience going from a chambered muffler to a straight through design and if ya do , what kind of gains did you see. thanks

Makes a nice difference. But increases exhaust sound.
(your results may differ)
A old friend made a almost 60whp decrease when he installed his baffled exhaust system after being tuned for open dp. Made 400whp then dropped to 340ish.

i dont have any dyno results but my car made another 3-4 psi by just changing the muffler from the 40 series flowmaster to a apexi N1 style...both were 3in/out kept hitting boost cut!!

It was either Tony1 or BoostedHybrid who did a back-to-back tune for a b-series with a type-r muffler (on and OEM axle-back removed). IIRC it was around the 300's, and removing the OEM type-r axle-back netted a faster spool and ~20whp. But they did mention is was the quietest Honda they ever tuned.
