What else to get besides Drag III and Hondata 3b?
I will soon be getting the Drag III kit. If you didn't know it comes with the following:
Super efficient and powerful Garrett T04/T3 turbocharger
4 into 1 cast turbo manifold
Turbonetics Deltagate wastegate
Custom 2.5 inch down pipe
Wastegate dump tube
Larger efficient front mount intercooler
Chrome one piece intercooler and turbo piping
High flow performance fuel pump
Vortech boost dependent fuel pressure regulator
HKS Super Sequential blow-off valve
All necessary plumbing
MAP bypass valves
High flow intake filter and piping
I am going to upgrade my Stage 3 hondata to handle boost. What else do I really need? I am thinking EGT Guage, Boost Guage, RC 440 injectors, and clutch. Should I get anything like an electronic boost controller?
I don't think I should need a VAFC with hondata. Should I splurge and upgrade to 4b?
Oh, the turbo is going onto a 97 Hx with b16a2 swap. Internals are going to stay stock for a while.
Thanks!

i was about to recommend the RC 440's or maybe even 550's with Hondata. if you get them tuned, you should be fine.
definitely invest in a nice stage 4 clutch.
as for gauges - boost, egt, air/fuel, oil pressure, should be enough.
you definitely don't need a V-AFC with Hondata.
as for a boost controller, an electronic would be nice, but not totally necessary. i know of 3 11 second and under cars that use manual boost controllers.

Ok. I am thinking about an electronic boost controller for added safety. Although from what I read at hondata.com an engine shut down can be enabled if too much boost is seen.
Now I just need some info about emission problems.....or ways around them.

the hondata is a good idea. but i would put away some money for pistons and rods. like 9 to 1 compression they make a world of diffrence

hey all of you with the 550's and hondata, does it matter if they are peak/hold or saturated (assuming proper installation will the hondata be better with one versus the other)?
I'm putting together a custom turbo kit while my block is getting fully built with je9:1/crower/sleeved/decked etc on a b18c5.
I would like to run about 10-12psi on the street and up to 20 on race gas. ANy input would be appreciated, thanks
