What do you Turbo LS guys Launch at? Looking for some help...
On street tires? I have been launching at about 3500 but seem to bog a little. If I launch higher I get nothing but wheel spin. I have also heard of using the e-brake to "load" the clutch.. What is this technique and are there any benefits from doing it? Thanks for the help...

e-brake, youre thinking of a slushbox off a trans-brake system - anyway i drop the hammer at 5200 and slip it to maintain revs, wheelspin not so bad, on a radial i wont try more than 4000rpm with tire pressure set at 12lbs,

25psi in the front tires, and launching at 4500 rpms got me some 2.206 60'ft times on street tires in my turbo LS

2.2 short time is about the worst you can do, work on another launch, radials can still net you a 1.8-9 easy.

The best way to launch on my 17s was to slip the clutch at around 3500, let the tires hook up and then floor it. This kept my turbo in boost. I've tried dumping the clutch at everything between 4000-5000 rpms and all I got was wheel spin.

If you can show me any proof that NORMAL street tire can do better than a 2.1-2.2 (not street legal slicks) I'll give you $500 flat out. The normal assumption is that on a FF car, running street tires, a 2.2 is considered a *good* 60' time, **** that, it's considered a *real good* time. On slicks, 1.7-1.8 is possible.
The post just started out about launching techniques, and bogging at a launch of like 3k rpm. I was also replying under the assumption that he was using street tires, not slicks. If it were in refrence to slicks, then I take it all back, if not, I hope you have some proof.
Damon501, while launching at 4.5k i got just a little bit of spin in first, chirped second, nothing into third.

a 2.2 60' netted me a 13.8, I'd say that's a pretty good 60' for streets and low boost.

I know I will probably get flamed for this but in an all motor car a good driver can pull 2.0's on the stock michelins. I have seen 1.9's on the stock michelins in a turbo / nos car. Driver makes a world of a difference.
