I was wondering what you guys think about this intercooler and if anyone has purchased these from bounsale. I was looking for a good bar and plate style one about 18-24 inches long 6-8 inches high for my boosted crx.

also what does everyone think about the johnny race car intercoolers? I've heard that they suck, but people are saying that the new ones are better because the old ones saw boost pressure drops of upto 4psi!

i run an old style JRC intercooler and it seems to work just fine. I don't have the equipment to test pressure drop, but then again who does? for the price, who cares, turn up the boost! if your paranoid about pressure drop, then go with a high dollar one, but still i don't think that there are proven tests that even the high dollar cores don't have high psi pressure drop.

I have the 30x6x2.75 and my car runs strong with it. Definately worth the money!

i just got a rev hard with about 5% or less of the fins being bent. Should I get rid of that for a brand new JRC? I know the revhard intercoolers are pretty damn efficient.

why get rid of it if u already have it? jrc is good but no reason to go outta ur way to get one. i have one and its great. i think it has like a 1-2 psi pressure drop. i figured this cuz i have the 9psi spring but it only boost 6-7. i added 3 shims and it only brought it up to like 8. i dunno if my wastegate is malfuncioning or if im getting mad pressure drop. i wan't a new wg or a boost controler. thumbs up for jrc

bad comment, not better safe then sorry... more like if you dont mind a bit of lag or pressure drop then keep the ic. but almost all ic's get a bit of pressre drop. you'll be fine. jus crank up the boost. oh and you can fix the fins with 2 flat headded screw drivers.
