Default want dip in to a 12.0 on street tires

What more would I have to do to reach a 12.0 on street tires. Im running a 13.1 at 120mph right now with a 2.160ft.

Setup as follows.

Garrett t3/to4e 57trim turbo
Tial 38mm wastegate
Inline pro manifold
stock intake manifold
rc 440's
walbro255 lph
3inch downpipe
3inch exhaust
aem rail
aem fpr
aem fuel filter
greddy type rs bov
2.5inch i/c piping
11psi of boost

I was thinking rc 750cc injectors,ramshorn exhaust manifold,edelbrock intake,bbk70mm throttle body. Then a retune at 13psi.

What do you guys think.

howmuch power are you making now ? and what engine managment ? wondering cause if its s300 you could really use the gear based boost or you could just throw a set of drag radials on and call it a day both would be cheaper then a ramhorn and a retune save your money

It is a b18c1 running on a p-28 chipped ecu with hondata s300. On 10psi she put down 255whp on a mustang dyno. Now its at 11psi and dont know the new numbers.

Im also using a b16a2 lsd trans.

Try some 225/50/15 BFG G-force drag radials, and launching at higher rpms for a better 60 ft. you have the mph's to run low 12's. I ran a 13.3 @ 104 with a 2.2 60ft on a Greddy kit @ 8-10psi. wouldn't hold boost on the top end. try that before spending money on all the other stuff. good luck

Yup, BFGs if you want to do this on street tires, but seriously.

120mph is good for mid 11s man. Put some slicks on it already.

A lot depends on the weight of the vehicle.

It may sound funny, but my method is to keep making more power ...

I got pissed off with 13 sec slips on street tires and full weight, so I went stupid and made 500+ WHP and ran high 12's @ 130 mph I figured if I made 700 WHP, I can run low 12's @ 140+ mph on street tires. Good way to compensate for a bad driver and make up the loss with smoking rubber in 3rd-4th and 5th gear

We did 12.2s @ 122mph at 1 bar (~350whp) on a pair of 3 year old Azenis 205/50R-15's. The car was probably around 2200 to 2300lb's at that time. Same turbo as you too.

It was a second gear launch. We figured it would help to eliminate the time wasted spinning first gear, and it worked out pretty well. We did that only once and then decided that slicks were the only way to go from that point on.

What rpm did you launch at using second. I plan to go to the track this week with 432whp and 299tq and azenis. I have launched the car a few times and second is feels faster.

I think it was 5500rpm on the two-step (anti-lag off), but I'll have to look at the datalog.

Gents

Can I ask you to read my thread on the Drag section please,
I figure it was a question to be raised in the drag section

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2380382

You’ve touched a subject I need more information on, I would like to compare times with 2nd gear launches with as close a set-up or time as I ran.

i think ur MPH is too high for 13 sec
but i think you can run 12s on street tires
my time was 13.2 at 112mph 2.2 60ft
its in a EM1 full weight on some Nitto 555R drag radials
i spun till top of 3rd gear launching at 5500 ..no 2 step...just feathering
see sig for setup
i think anything in a hatch is possible

my cuzzins hatch with b18c1 precision sc60 on 9psi on street tires ran a 12.9 at 113mph

I hear you man! My boat of a dsm makes much more power than my honda did.. but its not a hell of alot faster!

But nothing beats AWD for a high HP street car IMO!

Don't forget to get some nice axles if you do decide to get slicks.

i think even with a 2.1 60 foot trapping 120 you should be in the mid 12s.

i ran 12.96 at 112 with a 2.25 60 foot.

get some slicks.

i now run 12.2 at 110mph with a 1.79 60 foot, you get that 60 foot locked in you will be mid 11s all day.

Stocks can be run fine with ~270whp as long as you preload.
