Is it divided housing?
Ball bearing?
The divided housing with that small of a hot side will kill the top end power. And I wouldn't say 19degrees timing on the top end at 40psi is low.

Yes it is ball bearing, divided housing. Our next step was to go to a bigger back housing. Now that I think of it 19 degrees isn't that low on c16 at that level of psi like u mentioned, but I have never know what timing everyone else runs because it is usually kept on the D.L. Besides a little feeling down on power the car runs very smooth and clean through out the dyno pulls.

ive always thought that car was down on power for the amount of boost
our car laid down 770hp 520trq at around 35psi and 845hp 560trq at 42 psi with a turbonetics T72 q-trim .82 non divided
maybe the intake manifold is doing more harm then good?..we have a unmodded victor x..

PTE's back housing is smaller then the factory 1.01A/R T4 housing. I have heard the castings don't flow as well as the factory ones do as well. As for the rest of the turbo, it appears to be a standard GT4294R....

Re: (Importrev)
iirc precision makes there own wheels and housings, thats a major difference right there, my friends Precision 35r just took a poopy after only 1500 miles running a scant 13psi

So your friend killed a turbo after 1500 miles so they are ALL junk? Your a joke, if your going to make a general statement; have some facts to back them up or just keep that trap shut like you should have with the other 4k posts you've made.

Your obviously a precision fan and that's fine, im sure you are unaware of who and where there wheels and housings are made and there poor quality control and that's fine, i do on the other hand know, i have a lot of experience with Garrett turbo's and the Precision versions and they are simply not as good.
I did not make a general statement, i posted a fact, fact is my friends precision unit failed after 1500 miles, you clearly think he killed it and that's fine you are entitled to your ignorant opinion.
At least i contributed something to this thread, i stated wheel difference and housing differences, you on the other hand have done nothing but criticize

And do you know the reason for the failure?

Actually you didn't state any facts just your own opionion...but like the guy above my post said " DO you know why the turbo failed" ...did you pull it apart and inspect it? I would like to see the main shaft in the cartriage area. Going to guess either not enough oil or to much. let us know

Precision turbo
I use and sell a fair amount of precision turbos and i love them. Their customer service is top notch also.
I run a pte 42r on my car if that means anything.

Re: (miller)
I run Precision turbo on my car right now. It has worked good for a year. I've had few other precision turbos that failed on me. Sometimes its the luck I guess
I havent run BW turbo yet but I'm leaning toward one pretty soon
