What coolant W/ copper headgasket?
I was told that you can not use regular coolant with a copper head gasket because it will corrode it and that I need to run straight water. Is this true? It makes sense but is there some sort of additve to mix with regular coolant? Thanks for your help.

i dont use the copper gaskets but my buddies vr6 jetta has one and he uses reg coolant always. best thing to do is call up cometic or sce and ask.

A long time ago I asked if my homemade elbow would be ok for coolant, seeing as how its made out of copper. Here is a pic.
Anyways i was told its ok to use copper in my cooling system, and no corrosion will occur. Here is the link if you are interested
