Default What clutch to get for 300whp gsr?

Going to turbo my car soon and since my stock clutch has about 90k miles I think its time for a new one. I need a clutch that will be able to handle about 300whp and be streetable. I am also going to get a new flywheel while im at it. What do you guys recommend for a good clutch and flywheel for my application? I already searched but didnt find any real good info. Please try to keep it as cheap as possible. Thanks

First off the clutches are rated to torque not hp,

I would go with either an Act Hd/ss or Xt/ss, action also makes some nice stuff in the same price range, but I have no personal experience with those, but they seem to have alot of happy customers.

Heady Duty is rated to I believe 240 ft lbs, if you plan on making more than that go with the Xt/ss.

The ACT streetlite is 11lbs and is a great product. I'm currently using that flywheel with an Action 2ks kevlar clutch with about the same power as you, on a GSR motor. I love both the clutch and the flywheel, kevlar clutches engage as smooth as stock, but they hold like crazy!

I thought that the lighter your flywheel the better you'll accelarate when

you have a turbo.

It will accelerate better but the rpms will also drop faster and it will be more of a pain in the *** to drive in traffic and normal driving since this is my daily driver.

this is a huge huge huge bandwagon myth. Talk to people with lightweight flywheels and take only their opinions. I have a 11lb I daily drive, and I have never had a problem, I never stalled, and it took about 1 day to get used to it. I love it, and will probably buy a 8lb for my next flywheel.

Well i was just going on what I have heard. I was going to get a lighter flywheel either way. Im just not sure if I should get say a prolite or street lite. im still skeptical that a 8lb flywheel will be too much for a daily driver
