What Cams are you using if you have Nitrous in you car?
What cams are you running in your setup with nitrous? My D16 will be coming out soon.. Going in will be a GSR (after built)
The motor B18C1.
Nitrous setup-wet setup 75 shot (single fogger), or 125-150 (direct port)
C/R will be 11:1 or 11.5:1
Block will be resleveed to 84.5 etc..
Head will be mild p/p etc..
The cams I am looking at possible are
Skunk Stage 1's
JUN 2's
Toda A's
or CTR cams..
I have all the need fuel/ignition mods- MSD Digital 6, fuel pump, fuel filter-currently from my setup on my D16.
Cap, coil, wires, fpr, fuel rail, and injectors will be purchased for the B18c1.
I also have Hondata for tuning, and also a J&S safeguard.
So to the people here with nitrous what are you suggestions on cams to be used?
Thx

i think stock cams are best for nitrous, or some NOS-designed cams (Crower makes them i think)

I was extremely considering some juice on my B20.
12.6:1, 1.75:1 RS, 100 shot direct port wet.
I was planning to use Toda Spec A's. But the plan didnt pan out. I parted the motor out and sold it.

It seems like he's going the Nitrous-Route correctly...especially if he tunes the car on Nitrous, and Tunes it fat...why would he blow his motor? Especially if it's a build motor.

Tuning a car on Nitrous is extremely hard to tune (single fogger) - easier w/ Direct Port, so that's my suggestion.

whats so hard about tuning on a single fogger wet kit ?
the only thing that shoudl be harder is making sure your getting equal amounts of n20 in each cylinder.
other than that its just fuel jets and fuel settings and igniton timing ?
it doesnt sound hard to me .

I would suggest a mild cam like Toda A's for nitrous, then spray a 75 direct port on it and tune the hell of it should be a beast both on and off the juice

too high compression - you're going to blow the motor
More then likely the setup with me a direct port.

I also would suggest forged pistons and rods, and try to stay around 11:1 no higher, and stick with a 100 shot direct port, if all goes well then bump it

Yes this for street setup..
Looks like the Toda A's are the preferred cam's of choice..
What do you guys say on the c/r?
Thx for the info/comments so far..

I actually think stock compression would be the best IMHO, but make sure you get forged pistons of the same CR

That CR you're going to run might be aceptable to use NOS but, your engine won't last that long. If you want a reliable engine, go with the stock compression or less and switch to forged pistons and rods. A set of ARP headbolts would be highly recommended too.
Good luck!

I am getting Eagle rods and Forged pistons..
ok so stay with the stock c/r of a B18c1 of 10.0:1 or go to 11.0:1?
thx again Pinhead..

Re: What Cams are you using if you have Nitrous in you car? (Midwestrider)
I used ctr cams in my gsr with a 80 shot direct port made 242 to the wheels and 200 foot pounts of torque compression was around 10.5:1 with je flat top pistons, car was sprayed atleast 500 times last year motor is in a friends car happy as can be still, I used stock rods and stock head bolts, ferrera valves springs and retainers, stock rods can hold up to a 160 shot if there is no detonation and good fuel I used atleast 115 turbo blue when I sprayed believe me I know , but I ran the 8o shot mainly-Jason
