Default at what boost levels are you guys modding your stock PCV system?

im booting 7psi at the moment and i was just wondering when some of you are modifying your stock pcv system so you dont have that excess pressure inside your crank case. just curious.

also, would removing that pcv valve affect idle? i mean it would be like a giant vacuum leak wouldnt it?

Since the PCV valve is essentially a pressure-dependent check valve, I don't see why it wouldn't idle after removal, assuming you readjust the idle. It would be the same as removing a small vacuum leak on a motor that idled fine with it. You have less blowby at idle than a woman's *** does from farts (so they claim).

heres my setup

extra vents never hurt and always useful esp. it can reduce pressure if you happen to have smoke out the valve cover. there should never be smoke or very minor with hundreds of hp at peak of that hp..

its somewhat stock, no catch cans.. just more vents and i still utilize stock pcv valve for partial throttle. stock pcv valve is not designed for boost so i use stock brake check valve (2 of them) to prevent damage.

the more blowby you have, the more you need you have for extra vents. my setup would smoke at wot and higher rpm out valve cover when valve cover was the only vent.. there is no more smoke after current setup showed in above picture..

looks good, so you just vent the 3/8" lines out to the atmosphere? you should post some pics of your real engine bay

i don't think i posted the right size of an fittings for these line.. i'm pretty sure its 3/8" its same diameter that goes onto factory valve cover fitting

using a bit larger wouldnt hurt. i went with that size to match match ID of stock fitting

so far over 30k miles and no problems

ok, so where do the blue lines go to then? i imagine they are about a 5/8" diameter as 3/8" seems to be really small. why do you have those 2 inline check valves?
