What boost controller can you use with the Greddy turbo kit for Civic Si?
Hi, I wanted to know what boost controller can I use with the Greddy turbo kit (18g turbo) for the 99-00 Civic Si. Can you even use one on this turbo setup? I am only looking to boost up to 10 psi.

That's a really good question. I would assume that you'll need one because even though the greddy is a kit designed for bolt on ease it still can adapt to a universal component and be adjusted. I don't have one but I have read of people using other ones with their kits.

Go read how a wastegate works. Then what a boost controller does.
If no one responds to your question like yout hin kthey should, then that means no one who is knowledgable would have asked such a question. That also means that you can find the answer to your question eaily. If you knew how a wastegate worked, you'd have no questions to ask.

Look at that picture, the wastegate is a valve that makes the red exhaust gas skip the turbine completely. LIke it goes out the motor, into the wategate, then around the turbo, then back into the exhuast (many variations on this). A boost controller just controlls the wastegate.
I have to go, so i cannot type out this whole idea for you

yes u and that other guy definetly need to read how a wastegate works and how a boost controller works. this will prevent u from making really really stupid and obvious mistakes when installing.

I personally like the Turbosmart MBC... I like how it clicks! LoL..
But I think most MBCs work well...I have lots of friends with homemade MBCs that hold fine...
Some time in the future I might invest in a Turbosmart dual stage, the one that lets you switch between high and low boost from the cabin... those are kewl...

You didn't have to adjust the ACTUATOR after putting in the boost control right? So you just install the MBC in and then adjust the MBC for the correct boost you are looking for. Is that how it goes? I am new to turbos.
