What ATTS code did your Prelude SH throw when you had too much whp?
I realize this is more of a Prelude specific post, but I had absolutely no response in the Prelude forum. Most of the people in there are making basically-stock power levels and haven't ran into the problem I'm having..
I'm guessing I'm putting down around 230-240whp on my turbo SH and my ATTS always shuts off after the engine warms up. It doesn't seem to matter how easy or hard I drive it, but it does keep working longer if it's cold outside.
I've been getting an ATTS code 62 for oil pressure sensor, so I don't know if the actual sensor is bad, or if I've just messed up my atts from too much power. I've checked fluid levels as well and they are topped off, so I'm not sure. I would replace the sensor, but it's about $200 and I don't want to put money into something that might not fix the problem.
I can do without ATTS, but it really is more fun to drive when it's working, so if anyone has anymore input, I'd appreciate it.

lol. I dunno man I know ish about ATTS except that everyone I talked to that owns a Prelude loathes it.
actually I think the Hondata is programmable to turn off the ATTS...or something of the sort.

Yeah, I could always disable it and be done with it, but it's a night and day difference when it's working.
The thing that sucks the most for me is making a turn from a stop. The inside wheel always spins like crazy when boost starts to build, but with ATTS on, it sends most of the power to the outside wheel and actually gets traction.
It's a love/hate relationship I have with my car

Pretty much.. My next car will definitely be RWD with a LSD. AWD would be alright too

Automatic Traction System...?</TD></TR></TABLE>
It stands for "Active Torque Transfer System" and it redirects power to the outside wheel in cornering, which helps pull the car around a corner instead of the inside wheel spinning like most FWD cars do with open differentials. It works really well with lower power levels, but starts to freak out and shuts off at higher levels (most say around 240-250whp).

Re: (bubs)
I have never personally been in an ATTS Prelude, but it "sort of" works like an LSD. I think the main idea behind ATTS was to actually give a FWD car power on oversteer--something that was never available in a FWD car. The ATTS actually "jerks" the car around when the power is applied effectively letting the car get sideways. I have heard they take a dump above 250 whp.
