whaat turbo for auto teg?
im setting up an automatic integra but i dont know what turbo to run on it because low end would be nice since it revs slow, and it needs to pull to redline. I was looking at the T3 Super 60 from cheapturbo.com but it looks likee if i rotate the housing i caant use the wastegate. and with the interenal set up i cant keep my A/C. what T3/t4 would you guys recommend ? i iws tihnkingn .57 trim wheeel. 60 housing and .48 turbine ?? i only plan on running 10 psi MAXXXXXX . let me know guys thnks !!

I wouldf recomend a smaller turbo. Reason why...
Since it's automatic you would want the turbo to spool alot quicker since you really can't dump a clutch. My theory.

I had an auto corolla, tonne of advantages. I had a small turbo which is good for quick boost, but no top end. Go with a big turbo, but keep the exhaust size to .48 With the auto, your foot stays to the floor so you never loose boost between shifts, plus you can brake torque and lauch with boost that no standard can do. I pull 2.0 60ft, times with 14 inch rims and 185 rubber...

get a tranny cooler if you have an automatic. The heat the boost will generate will melt your tranny inside out...not literally but you know what i'm getting at...you'll destroy your transmission....I'm wondering if you can get a thermostat hooked up to it so that it can get regulated......maybe you can rig a fan on it too so you can get additional cooling

im going to run a T3 super 60 turbo. its small and flows at 65 pounds per minute, so that should be good, quick spool and good top end, i dont rev as far as a b16, so itll be nice. im piecing my own turbo kit together. i've put together 3 turbo kits so far so im not exactly a neWb. I just dont know how to read compressor maps .. hahaha. Ill be doin my own chargepipes and downpipe etcc ( done it 4 times already blah! ). i got the slim fan in place and an external tranny cooler. should be fun ^_^

Its tough to say really..... all depends on what you want, theres no "better" turbo even if the car is automatic, the spool is just about the same, I was auto and now 5spd and it spools the same as the auto.
I personally like my t3/t04e .50 AR compressor and .63 exhaust with stage 3 wheel. The top end is absolutly disgusting... who needs low end anyway, how much more traction problems do you want? And besides there is really nice midrange with my turbo also.

Re: whaat turbo for auto teg? (quikb20)
ill never switch to standard. the whole point in me getting this car was the parents thought i'd get outta racing. i had a 91 teg with i/h/e. crower 403's, locash ecu, fields sfc, straight pipe, valve springs, retainers, JG PNP head, pnp'd intake manifold, jG thortlte body etc etcc. i cant **** with the tranny in this car, i dont think i';d want to do that anyways. if anything i'd jsut get another car. i think changing to manual is more trouble than it is worth. but i just wanna lil kcik in my car. im not goin for all out power or anything.

No slicks, and stock michellins with roughly 50k miles on them

Re: whaat turbo for auto teg? (project dc2)
if your parents are an issue i would say going turbo, auto or standard is not a good idea. why not get a nice reliable car, and later when parents are out of the picture do what you want.
if you want a small boost, just get a small shot to hold you over.

Re: whaat turbo for auto teg? (quikb20)
ive been nitroused twice, zex dry, and NOS wet both 55 shots. i want something more constant , i had a greddy SOHC modified kit and that never ran right, so i built my own HMT welded manifold etcc etcc, and i decided not to, i sold everythign and made money on everything, i've mad enough money to put together a nice kit. right now im just waiting for my stuff, tinker lovefab manifold, t3 super 60, boostcoolers spearco IC, 2.5 inch U bends, 2.25 u bends and 2 inch u bends. CPR 440cc injectors, Apexi Safc fuel controller, etcc etcc. cant wait !
