Well guys, my 60-1 nightmare has officialy started!! :(
After about 3 weeks of waiting I got my 60-1 turbo from Max Rev and beleive me I was as gitty as a little school girl to get it, I did order a full 3" custom downpipe but that unfortunately isn't here yet.
Anyways I imedeately bolted it up to the max rev manifold wastgate, dumptube so basicly the whole nine yards. After doing that whith a ver big grin on my face
I went into the garage to test fit the whole setup.
And here are some pics of what happened....
Now if you didn't notice it, the turbo inlet housing is hitting the webbing or notch on the block right by the clutch slave cylinder I beleive that is what its called...
There is quite a bit of distance between the manifold and the head to come together if you look up there by the exhaust manifold studs.
So now I don't know if it will give me enough room to just grind some of that aluminum away to clear that inlet housing...
I'm Open to any kind of suggestions you guys may have........

air powered cutter from local hardware store 30$
Pack of cutting discs 10$
satisfaction of knowing you chopped a small section of tranny support off the block - free
grin on your face once that bad rider spools up fully!!!! - priceless
go for it.. look at it this way... what could go wrong by cutting some webbing off the block?

Will have more room if you reverse the turbo and have it facing the AC. A friend of mine did his that way, but he removed the AC. Also if you do it that way you are going to have to modify your dp. May not be the easiest solution, but it works well

that compressor housing is huge. I don't think you'll be able to hack off enough to make it fit. my friend runs a 60-1 but with the smaller housing and he barely got it to fit in that spot you're looking to put yours. he hacked off a lot, with not very much left to go before compromising the block's integrity.

i wouldnt cut a thing... u have to turn it the other way...
I don't think this is the solution
So just like Art sead "Let the cutting begin" is what I'm going with

Here's your solution....
And this was just for a li'l t3/t4<B I guess> .48 exhaust, .50 compressor.

You can send the turbo in and get a different housing.. they can fit a 60-1 in a T04E housing. When I order 60-1s I get them in the E housing so that I dont have to grind as much. there are no performance differences.

on my friends 60-1 with a smaller housing... he cut off WAY WAY more than that. he had to trim off the corner that has the block number.
