Weird Problem Regarding Check Valves/VAFC II
I know that check valves and vafc's arn't suppose to be used together, and I know that the VAFC II sucks compared to uberdata. I got a uberdata ecu just having trouble getting the SOLID CEL off. Anyways . . . .
when I baught my 94 dx hatch it has the greddy sohc turbo kit, fmu, stock injectors, msd inline fuel pump, check valves and what not.
I changed out the injectors since they failed, put in 450's, walboro fuel pump, and a vafc II for the time being. The car has a d16z6 motor and a p28 ecu in it. It runs great with the check valves, but when I took off the check valves the car ran like ****! The car totally won't boost, feels like someone slammed on the brakes and it also feels like it's running lean, but my settings on the high end are in the high -20's like -27% but only because I have a fully built head, and my wideband at the time read 11.5 in boost.
I have no idea why the car runs like **** without the check valves . . . I never ran check valves on any of my turbo cars before, and this car had them prior to mer buying it I just can't seem to get rid of them without the car not boosting!
Any Ideas?!

Re: Weird Problem Regarding Check Valves/VAFC II (jdmhonda)
well my cel light doesn't trip at all, that's the weird part, but it acts all weird like its running lean without the check valves.

I had an ECU with the solid CEL and I ended having to get another ECU. You may want to check with friends ECU and see if that works.
