Default WD-40 on turbo manifold ok?

My manifold is getting kinda rusty. i was wondering if it would be ok to spray the manifold with WD-40 to clean up the rust?
Its a greddy manifold for the 15g turbo btw

yeah you can, but only on the manifold and do it when its cool. But the rust will just come right back.

its just gonna start smoking, smell like oil and burn off. Thats the nature of the beast with cast parts.

dont get rid of the rust, its protecting the material below it, remove the rust, and more of the lower material will rust. your manifold will rust away quicker if you remove the rust is what i am trying to say.
