Wastegate vacuum question

Hey guys,
Im going from internal to external wastegate..I have an innovative progate with two nipples...I know the top goes to the out side of my profec spec b, but im not sure about the other one. When it was internal, there was a line from the in side of the boost controller to a fitting on the turbo housing...I would like to use this for the vacuum on the other port of the wastegate, but what would I do with the "in" side of the boost controller? Or should I just run another vacuum line to the 2nd wastegate port?
Thanks a bunch,
Nick https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

Re: Wastegate vacuum question (T25So)

YOu can put a T fitting to the line that is running from the turbo housing. One end of the T fitting goes to the IN of the solenoid and the other end goes to the botton nipple of the wastegate. The OUt of the solenoid goes to the top nipple of the wastegate.

Itll be enough vacuum with a t fitting?

this is the way Greddy manual stated and I hooked up this way. I have been running this way for a few weeks with no problem. It's not a vacuum, it's a pressure. IF you have boost spike try to adjust the GAIN from the head unit.

Ive always heard the 2nd nipple needs a vacuum source...anyone have any input on this?

You're right, the top goes to a boost controller if you have one (if not, leave it open), and the '2nd nipple' goes to a vacuum source. You can either 'T' one off from the intake manifold or get a vacuum manifold and hook it up to that. I've done the latter and is a cleaner install in my opinion.

Re: (rsintegra)

You will not see pressure when idling and normal driving. Vacuum source are the terms we widely use in NA car. When you're boosting in a turbo car, your entire intake system will be pressurized, not vacuum. Just look at your boost gauge. Some people like to connect the line to the intake and some to the compressor housing. The wastegate opens by pressure not by vacuum. That's why we can put different psi springs in our wastegate.
