Default Wastegate spring apparently 6 psi... but boosting to 10.... HELP!!!

im using an xs-power wastegate and it is supposed to have a 6 psi spring in it... except when i hit boost it goes right to 10psi... I have no vaccumm leaks so i dunno wut the hell is goin on here... anyone have any ideas... I have everything T'd off of the fuel pressure regulator... By everything i mean blow off valve, boost gauge, wastegate and for some reason i think one more thing bu i cant think... I would actually like to start off by T'ing my wastegate off at its own seperate source so wut are my options...

crappy SS autocrome manifold... I know it sux but i was hoping it would work for the time being... I would say I was sent the wrong spring but im hittin 10.7 psi according to not only my boost gauge but CROME PRO so the numbers are accurate... problem is the company who makes the wastegate doesnt even offer a 10.7 psi pring... the closest would be an 8.7psi... So im not so sure i have the wrong spring

is your vacuum source for the wastegate off your manifold or turbo? if you can run it off the turbo, you will loose some psi through your piping.

It could be that the spring is just 10psi, because i know they sell different psi springs. So maybe they put the wrong one in your order. Open it up and tell us the color, or search for that colors psi rating. If it in fact is a 6 psi spring, then run a vaccum line directly from your turbo to the side of your wastegate, then come back and tell us if it is still overboosting, and if it is, then you are just suffering from some boost spike.

Edit: then drill and tap your turbo for a 1/8npt fitting, or have a machine shop do it for you if you arent confident in doing it.

did you check it? you can tap the piping pre-intercooler for generally the same effect as tapping the turbo.
