Wastegate with only one outlet - Wiring a boost solenoid as a bleed valve?
Hey everyone,
i have a hondata and s300,
i only have one outlet on my wastegate, so i fitted my boost solenoid inline inline with the vacuum to the wastegate, but its not working its overboosting and throwing engine code.
does anyone know is it possible to use a boost solenoid as a bleed valve with my setup?
my only other option is to get a new wastegate i think,
also i have my wastegate set so that theres no load on the spring, its just sat with the flap in "closed" position is this right?
thank you
james

Hey thank you for the reply,
i have just done a diagram to show how i have it plumbed in and my settings, but its just throwing the engine code and overboosting
i wanted 10psi,
ive checked all the wiring etc its all correct and the solenoid activates,
do these settings look ok to you?
thankyou
james

Hey everone.,
a big thanks to John Vega at Phearable,
he told me that the hondata instructions are wrong for internal wastegate configurations,
instead, you have to set up your solenoid like this for an internal wastegate:
so thats why it was overboosting
hope this helps someone else with same problem
