Wastegate has 3 ports. Can I run off the spring at first, then to MBC
Hey guys, Im trying to figure out how to plumb lines to my wastegate but I cant find a simple diagram that I can honestly understand. I bought this shorty design wastegate, and it has 3 ports. 2 on the side and 1 on top.

It came with 2 banjo style barbed fittings and one plug.
I plan on using the nipple off of the turbo compressor as my source.
Can anyone please explain to me a simple way to hook up the wastegate to run off of the wastegate spring (8psi, Id like to start there) And also possibly a diagram for how I would add my MBC into the mix after I get the initial problems sorted.
Thanks alot guys

Plug one of the lower ports and connect the other lower port to the reference on your turbo. Leave the port on the top open with nothing connected.
Then the turbo builds boost it'll put pressure on the underside of the diaphragm and when it over comes your spring pressure it'll lift and open the wastegate. The top port is used for your boost controller, if you ever use one, to apply boost on the top side of the diaphragm effectively increasing spring pressure requiring more boost on the bottom side to overcome it and open at a higher boost level.

Is that to run off just the wastegate spring??
Ive been reading that utilizing the top hole is good for the boost more stable boost, but am not sure how to incorporate either way into running off just the spring, and installing the MBC
I may just install the MBC right away and put it on a low setting, its not gonna hurt anything I suppose

Port 2 to top of gate. port 1 tee into bottom of gate and to pressure source. This will yield spring pressure until you add pressure to the top of gate via boost controller. Easy cheesy.

Says in the listing it's water cooled, so that's what the lowest port should be for

Mine is not watercooled, they sell a water cooled version
I dont quite get what Nayr was trying to say with port 1 and port 2.
Ive searched for over an hour of a SIMPLE diagram for a external wastegate and manual boost controller, using the compressor housing as my source.
I dont want to make the lines all nice and tucked and techflexed only to have to throw them out.
Appreciate any help with this!

You need to look at the instructions that came with your boost solenoid or controller. Ports 1 & 2 refer to the boost solenoid, they are labeled on there. At least on mine they are.

Im running a manual boost controller. No electronic. And no my NXS mbc did not come with instructions for external wastegate, and its just throwing me off that the wastegate has 3 ports.
So I would run a line off the compressor housing to the bottom of the MBC, then a line from the side of the MBC to a lower port on the wastegate. Also plug the second lower wastegate port, leave the top port open
This diagram shows a different way with a T that I find interesting, is this a possibility for my setup at all, beneficial? The only thing that I dont understand in this diagram, is the MBC connection, because mine has a side and bottom port, while the diagram has 2 on each side. Confuses me on which line would come from where on MINE

Post a pic of YOUR MBC. I am looking at the install instructions for both internal and external wastegates for this MBC. I don't see these 3 ports you're talking about.
