needs more filler . tehres penetration but no filler to strengthen the WG elbow. ive seen the actaul material crack but rarely a weld. unless at the collector.

i know whos manifold that is cuz i can identify the welds. but im sure he will fix it no problem.

dont want to bad mouth anyone. plus i already talked to the maker and they said they are willing to fix it if i send it back so it will gurantee not happen again, but i may just get it fixed locally by a awesome welder and they are willing to cover the costs to fix it.

it was a bitch to put on, and its gonna be a bitch to take off, then put it back on when it gets fixed so no deals no sending it back.

Check the position of your wastegate in relation to other things. I had the same situation. My problem was that top port on the wastegate would hit my intercooler when running it hard.

It looks to me like its the opposite. There seems to be enough filler...just not enough penetration. If you look at the last pic you can see massive amounts of undercut. Get a compitant welder to fix it and you should be good to go

because i only need egt readings under boost. I dont need egt readings when im cruising and when im cruising im not where near boost levels that i need to worry about.

plus if you tap it on running 3, its prone to melting and getting in your turbo and messing stuff up.

Im not a professional welder, but those welds look horribly undercut. I would say that is the problem.

diffenetly not enough penitration, looks like you should have a few of the other welds in that area re welded too.

Like what was stated before. I have been seeing a lot of diy mani's with severe undercutting, and not nearly enough filler. That looks exactly what happened. Sorry bro.

uhhhh... because egt vac isnt as important as under boost. and like i said i dont want to melt the egt probe and get it sucked in my turbo.
