Wastegate, downpipe gasket. wast gate down pipe HELP!!
What do you guys recommend. I have a tial 38 mm waste gate. I need both sides of the waste gate sealed. I have a 3 inch down pipe and if they made a gasket for this five bolt design I would only have line a 1/16 inch of gasket in some areas. A shop recommended high temp silicone. Is this what I should do or are there alternatives? If silicone, any specific ones that have worked for you?

There are gasket for the 38mm wastegate and the t3 five bolt gasket. I know because I seen it before. But high temp silcone works for me too. I had a leak where the downpipe connect to the turbo and I put high temp silicone all around it. It fixed it so I can't complain about it. Just go to any auto parts store and grab any high temp silicone.

WG= Don't need a gasket
DP= I just use copper spray
They do make gaskets for both though and I know ATP has them.

make sure the mating surfaces are flat and tighten the hell out of the nuts and call it a day. I never use wastegate of downpipe gaskets without issue.

x2. i always hit the surfaces with a belt sander, and make sure everything is tight. the only gasket i run in my street car is head>manifold. the other gaskets just cause problems when they blow.
