want to swap to MSD Ignition, what do i need?
Hallo,
i have hered about the problems of the stock honda distributor and i think my distri will give up in the near future so i search for something new.
the two options i have are: replace it with a new stock one or go with something like MSD.
But i'am a bit confused about what do i realy need because msd offers so much different products.
Maybe someone can help?
Thanks
Malte.

you are right, i know that the stock ignition is good but i've hered of many problems with both, stock and msd ignitions...
but i've seen many ppl runing a msd because the stock distri is breaking very often... so i thought going with msd is better when having to replace the distri anyway.

Re: (mrx)
I have the MSD 6A w/ a Blaster SS Coil. The coil replaces the stock coil inside the distributor. You must get the MSD distributor cap when you do this setup. There was a good write up some time ago. Just search for MSD in the forums and you will eventually find it. The Blaster SS Coil is much cheaper than the stock coil. If it goes, then you are only out $50 compared to $75-100.

You would get more from a new cap, rotor, wires, plugs and making better engine grounds, than what an MSD would give you.
