Want to go faster
I currently have an h22a swaped eh2. I was doing research on FI before asking questions. The more researche that I do the more it seems like this isn't an option for me. It seems that the cheapest reliable build will cost $8000+.
I know no one who know about cars more than I do (I know enough to change a transmission so my skills are average) so no help from friends. I know what needs to be done to turbo an h22. There is no way I'll trust turboing an h22 without sleeving it.
I was looking to put down approx. 300 to the wheels but I would need to upgrade my fuel system, cooling, suspension, engine block (sleeved), full turbo kit, some type of engine management system, towing, labor, and tuning which probably adds up to too much for the average person.
If I am just looking for speed wouldn't it be cheaper to get another car and start there. I am looking for reliable power.
Before anyone says that cheap and reliable crap again, just stop. When I say cheap I mean not overly expensive like the k20s are at the moment.

Re: Want to go faster (SeaQuake)
Look on here and find parts for cheap. You can put together a whole turbo kit with quality parts for under 3K, and then start saving for an engine build. Or you could just ditch the H22 for something with sleeves that don't suck, like an LS motor.

Seems that it will be better to buy an already built block. I'll get some more money and just go that route. It saves on the down time and all.
