Am I reading this wrong?? The pumps flow more volume at lower pressures?

I love the whine of the fuel pump I had the 255hp when I was all motor, with the nitrous and now with the turbo. Holding up just fine.

And on average about $10 more then the regular 255 lph pump. I can hear mine when I put the key to ON, and sometimes I can hear it over my Invidia exhaust. But for me I dont mind the fuel pump buzzing...it let's me know that it's still working, hehehe.

Yep, that's correct. Easier for the pump to deliver at a lower pressure so flow will be higher. Crank up your fuel pressure and the pump has to work a lot harder creating that pressure, hence lower flow. Also notice how the amp draw increases with pressure.

Re: Walbro Fuel Pumps (turboedc2)
We are a Walbro Warehouse Distributor & the funny thing is that the Stand Pressure 255lph fuel pump is more costly than the High Pressure 255lph fuel pump.
So I dont understand why people price the High Pressure version higher.
Must just be because the High Pressure is more desired.
thanks everyone,
Gabriel

Re: Walbro Fuel Pumps (extremepowerperformance)
also for 450whp, you want to go with the High Pressure version. The 255lph Standard Pressure is good for about 400hp max and the 255lph High Pressure version is good for about 550hp in forced induction applications & 620 in naturally aspirated applications.

Re: Walbro Fuel Pumps (LiTtOGPiMp)
Has anyone had reliability issues with the walbro pumps? I'm planning on running two in paralell to get my required fueling.
Does anyone sell external models of the highpressure pump? That is what I'm going to need.
Regards,
Justin
