walbro 255lph HP pump going bad?
hey guys...
I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same symptoms.
after driving around a while......say about 15-20min of normal driving the fuel pressure will drop 5-8psi. sometimes more if you drive a really long time.
this is using the OEM FPR..... and even with my B&M FPR it does the same thing.
someone mentioned to me that the pump maybe getting heat soaked and does not flow as much after its been running a while. it might be normal for a pump to drop 1-2psi but not 10 or more?
has anyone else ever heard of this? could it be a fuel pump problem or do they really slow down the volume/pressure after they have been heat soaked awhile?
thanks

Re: walbro 255lph HP pump going bad? (non-VTEC)
walbro pumps def. have reliability issues. i had a walbro pump take a dump on me @ 25psi of boost. cost me a motor.
ive also had walbro pumps last over 75k miles
if you have any thoughts that your pump is malfunctioning....get a new one. a new pump is much cheaper than a new motor.
