What base pressure are you guys running making over 500?

I've got PTE 1000's and a 255 hardwired and I think im around 450-460whp and the system is at 80% @ 50psi base. Its got 500whp me thinks

The limiting factor in this setup will be the single walbro not the injectors. Anything in the low 500's on E85 and the pump is out of flow.

I just made 560whp. lol i have PTE 1000s and a single 255 with a relay. And at 40psi the injectors ran out, so we bumped the pressure to 45psi and then the pump went out. Im sure you could get mybe a little more power out of that fuel setup but other than that im sure its pretty well maxed. That is with stock fuel lines with a -6an off the filter and return. Im sure you upgrade the stock lines and you could mybe make a little more. But i cant say that 560whp isnt very fun...so im okay with that. lol

Im hitting the dyno this Saturday morning to tune the car to max so we'll see. I just want that 500 number. If it makes more I'll be stoked

looking at this thread makes me think i should just upgrade the injectors and pump in mine so i can switch over to e85. right now i've got a walbro 255hp and 1000cc precisions.

What's the rule of thumb for e85 when sizing injectors?

Assuming e85 and static fuel pressure of 48-52psi, what's the size for 300whp / 400whp / 500whp?

What kind of power are you trying to make? Nothing against King, but if your in southern wisconsin, i would get your car tuned by Curt at Dyno Tuned Performance. And im sure many people would vouch for the same thing. Im sure you could give him a call and see what he thinks for a fuel setup. PM me if you want his number.

not really sure what my engine is really capable of to be honest. i've been told previously that switching over to e85/race gas i should be able to hit 600whp no problem with the exception of the pump and injectors. they could be wrong though, i'm new to the honda thing. here's the setup...

Comparing Dyno Dynamics numbers is kind of hard to do since they can be altered. I would only trust a Dynojet on power numbers.

From what i have seen on my car over the years, a set of 1000's@ 43.5psi base and a single walbro in tank with stock lines ETC will max out right around high 400's on a Dynojet. It's the pump that maxes out first. Right around 500whp it's about out.

Last year i maxed out an Intank 255/inline 255 on 2150's @ 630whp (stock wiring). Wired in direct a 340 intank with the inline 255 and maxed out at 659 with a 13.2 out the top. Still had all stock lines. The 340 was only worth 30whp, not quite what all the Hype says it is. It also died on me lol.

This year went to a sumped tank, Dual walbro 255's inline (set in parallel) -8 to twin -6 then to -8 to the fuel rail. With 1 pump it made 535whp with a 13.2 out the top. with the 2150's and both pumps it has plenty of fuel left @ 690whp on E100.

my current tune does 442 on 91 octane and 451 on 93 octane at 16psi on a dynojet. i probably should just stick with what it's at, but i'm really interested in seeing what it'd do on e85.

Tuned on the 70% crap, I have my base set at 50psi, PTE 1000's and a DW301 running on an external relay. Seeing 14.0-14.2v throughout the pass at the pump.

So I ended up running out of pump right around 465whp. Just got a Wablro450 intank hardwired and looks like I'll be able to get another 50-70whp easy.

Im just wondering how high of base pressure is ok for the PTEs? I dont want to go nuts on em

I will when I pick my laptop up from my parents this weekend.
I was @ 45% Duty with ID1000 on single Walbro 255 All motor @ 220whp on E85 at 40 psi. I think we have some bench racers on here throwing numbers around on this thread...

Wait, walbro has a 400 now anyway.

Just run that OP. The price isn't much different.
