Vid of my daily driver on the dyno at Polk Performance...
I know. No one here wants to see some POS old '86 "Crustang" on Honda-Tech... Well, I couldn't care less, really. I have a few friends on here who might like to know what I'm up to.
A bunch of us Memphis Racing Scene folks made the 2 hour trek to see Don Polk on the 13th, and we had a fun dyno day.
On the wideband, the car looked perfect at 13.0 - 14.0 air/fuel, so we really only had to play around with timing to get it to make the best power. Ended up at 20 degrees of base timing(a lot!), running 89 octane, and the car ran pretty flawlessly for an 18 year old domestic.
Jody's Mustang Dyno - 7.2mb
Car Facts are basic as follows:
'86 Mustang GT - Manual Package - Raceweight ~3000 without me
Tremec TKO 5 speed tranny - Pro 5.0 Shifter and Steeda Tri-Ax handle
Centerforce 10.5" Dual-Friction Clutch
Stock '88 GT motor - ~80k miles
$50 used MAC Shorty Headers
2.5" offroad H pipe - No Cats - No Smog Pump
2.5" 2 chamber Flowbasturds
Moroso Cool-Air Extension w/ Oval K&N
I'm pretty happy with the daily driver.
Sorry that she's so nasty in the video, but we ran into some rain on the way to Arkansas... Here's what my "beater" usually looks like...
Checked in at 213 HP and 279 TQ at the wheels. Not too shabby considering a stock rating of 225/300 at the crank.

I love Mustangs. Nothing sounds better then a done up Mustang with Flowmaster mufflers. My brother had a blk 86 convertable then sold that for his 89 LX coupe. Makes 660 @611ft of torque untuned (look at the air fuel ).

Yah I'm not a huge fan of v8's but you have to admit wheel stands are ******* badass.
Here is my friend jason's 86 firebird doing a nice big wheelie at the track down here. This wheelie is toned down as well, compared to how hard he was pulling the front wheels earlier this year.
