victor x, what fuel rail/ fpr set up?
As the title implies i have a victor x intake manifold and i am having the usual trouble with fitting the fuel rail and fpr. originally i had tried to run the stock rail and regulator by using washers underneath the rail and modifying the return on the fpr. to make a long story short it didnt really work out so i have been searching around for other ppl's set-up with this manifold. i was also curious if anyone makes a stainless fuel line "kit" or if it is something that has to be made. any pics or lists of set-ups would be appreciated.

Re: victor x, what fuel rail/ fpr set up? (97gsrki)
I just had the same problem, just bought an VictorX and was running an AEM rail and AEM FPR and the return on the FPR hit the manny. I just bought an AEM universal and I am in the process of mounting it on the firewall or somewhere near there. My shop is going to have to plumb the regulator somewhere on my stock lines.....have not decided where yet though.

these must both be the gsr victor-x , i didn't have the problem with a stock rail and aem fpr on a b16 victor-x mani, but on the gsr the return would not clear i bought the edelbrock rail and was able to use the aem cause it mounts it on the very end with plenty of clearance. Hope this helps
Here is link of what it looks like http://www.edelbrock.com/autom....html

Re: (T Dohc)
This is correct.... I am almost psoitive the GSR manny sits differently that a B16/R manny because my boy ordered the manny through his shop for me and he runs one on his B16 with the X and has no problem, I believe the GSR runners are shorter and brings the Manny closer to the back of the FPR......anybody care to verify this?

Re: (T Dohc)
In order to get my gsr victor x im, with the aem rail and regulator to work I ended up making a spacer plate that bolts to the rail and turns the fpr 90 degrees so that everything would clear. Really wasn't that hard, I don't see why edelbrock doesn't include one with the im.

Well arent you crafty..... I would of attempted to do that but I try to keep the custom stuff to a minimum on this build due to bad past experiences.

Re: (96 GSR-T)
I just used a b&m fpr on an ls fpr (i believe it is an ls one as the return has a 90 in it) mounted to a stock b-series fuel rail and it fit just fine.
Don't forget to use an itr throttle cable. I had a b16 and it didn't fit. GL.
Edit: This is on a gsr.

I have the AEM rail/fpr and the return hit the manifold. I bought the jackson racing adapter that kicks it over to the side a bit for it to clear.

Re: (livinlow)
If you're wanting to use the AEM FPR, you can spin it around and put it on so the return line is facing away from the manifold. It'll just barely fit well enough that you can get an allen wrench on the screw to adjust the pressure.
Here's another option: Aeromotive Compact EFI regulator from Jegs.

wow thanks for the replies. i think that i am either going to look into that jackson racing adapter plate or the eldlebrock rail. how about fitment asfar as the rail itself is concerned. i had inline pro 1000cc injectors(same as precision, msd, etc.) and my stock fuel rail sat about a half inch too far away from the manifold. Do the aftermarket rails not have this problem?
