very weird..turning on headlights or rear def. stops popping at idle
I was having a problem with my car popping at idle unless i ran it very rich like less than 13:1 and I noticed that when I turned on my headlights or rear defroster it would go away. Battery voltage stays pretty much constant when this happens too. Anyone have any idea? I guess ill start by checking my injector wiring.

increased load might have helped the A/F ratio to lean out a touch and get rid of the popping

nope..a/f is the same. Im pretty sure it has something to do with the battery voltage offset of the injectors in the aem ems. They dont have the injectors im currently using in the library right now but i dont have the downtime to have them tested. Ive heard delphi injectors get picky at very low pulsewidths.

You have a wideband that tells you the A/F ratio or are you using a crap Autometer gauge...
If the injectors were firing less because of less current, that too would cause a leaner condition...

adjust your ignition timing. if your afr is around 14:1 at idle, then you need to start looking at the ign tables instead

Re: (grndcont)
Been all the way from 8 to 40 degrees lol. I think its just too small of a pulse width to control but there not THAT big only 525cc. Iv'e noticed that the duty cycle in the aem actually reads 0.00 and when I richen it to the point where something shows up like 0.80, thats when the popping stops. Im gonna try using boost comp to get better resolution at idle since my raw numbers are in the teens. Mase, I know your familiar with the ems, do you use boost comp?
