Default vacuum readings and compression test results inside -- please help critique

vacuum readings
14-15 inHG at idle

compression test
190, 190, 200, 200

okay, my vacuum reading are about 5 inHG lower than what most people say is typical. wierd thing is that it runs beautifully with no issues. any ideas what the problem could be?

compression looks good (gsr), so i doubt it is rings that is causing the low vacuum readings.

please help, thanks.

At what elevation do you live?

boost gauge is probably off, you should be reading 20-22inhg at that compression without any electrical load.

practially sea level, but high temps and high humidity

the boost gauge is off when the car is off, it reads about 1-2inHG when it should read 0inHG/0psi, but i figured since it is off this way, i should read a more vacuum and less boost. am i correct in assuming this?

thanks for the input, anyone else?

let me guess, autometer? hehe. I wouldn't assume anything, assume you need a different gauge would be the correct assumption

yeah autometer gauges always read like that ( when off they dont go to 0). have you checked your boost line for leaks and what not. Sounds like your gauge is off or not hooked up correctly
