vac leak sound comming from turbo xs mbc.
Today I noticed a sound of a vacume leak sound comming from my engine. So I looked futher into it, the vacume leak is comming from or around the rubber o-rings on my turbo xs mbc. Is this normal at idel? I have noticed it takes a while to build boost, would this have anything to do with this? Thanks!

I have the same boost controller and no it should not leak boost at idle. Go ahead and try to replace the o-rings. That would explain why your cars builds boost slowly.

There are two seals on both vac lines on the boost controller. Those will leak if damaged. The rings that I think you might be thinking of the the actual housing don't have any function. Are you sure the sound isn't coming from the hex adjustment on the top?

I am pretty sure its comming from around the 0-rings, if its comming from the hex screw can it be fixed?

The two large black o-rings are more or less to grip by. If you take them off, there is nothing underneath them. The only way I can see the hex leaking is either the threads are stripped or it is loosened all the way. Have you checked the tightness of it?

i have seen that before too on my friends car. he had a turbo xs dual stage mbc and it made the same vaccum noise when he had the high boost on when he flipped the switch to low boost it went away. i think it might be due to running higher boost. his car ran good no delay in spool time. might be normal.
