Default V-AFC+ turbo=I need settings please help!

Somebody please help us. We have been up for 22 hours.. Car is a 97 gsr/w Greddy turbo. Using greddy blue box and v-afc. I need some TURBO baseline settings for this v-afc .We would be very grateful. sorry if Im grumpy, just very tired. thanks everyone.

depends on boost levels and injectors.

no such thing. start at stock, and go from there..you'll need an air/fuel gauge, and a dyno

that's impossible to tell without a dyno.

with my setup, if i went over 10 to 15 % enrichment on the VAFC it would throw a check engine light cause it would run too rich...

Installing the blue box is a bitch, but you already know that.

Cant tell you more, sorry. There really are no "baseline settings." Its like a woman, each ones different and needs to be fine tuned

I actually lost hp when I had my VTEC controller on, I had it runnin rich because I was hearing what I thought was pinging between 2-3k rpm, and I gave it a little extra fuel up top, result? I lost a whole lot of midrange and a few ponies up top, I'd actually leave the fuel settings alone with the GReddy kit, I did however raise the VTEC engagement point to about 4700rpm and the powerband feels smoother. If anything you'd want to lean out the mixture, BUT I wouldn't suggest doing so w/o being on a dyno with a wideband O2 hooked up to be safe. Hope this helps

I have a dyno at the shop here and it has the wide band O2 sensor. We worked all night and the car was running fine, but now after delivery and the car sitting all night it has a crappy idle and falls on its face under 3k rpm.I do not know if the cust. screwed with the V-AFC afterward. I also have a check engine light on. Oh and by the way the car is at 7psi indicated by the boost gauge.

Sounds similar to problems experienced by one of my customers in Montreal. It was proving too difficult to tune with all the band-aid piggybacks plugged into the car, so the customer removed all the add-ons replaced it with a stage 2b Hondata system, OBD I ecu conversion, RC 440cc injectors.

The reason for it idling rough after sitting is that the AFC doesn't know the difference between open loop, closed loop, cold start, etc.. it just changes fuel accordingly, so when you just start it, and it's running by what you set it at in open loop at warm idle, it's loading up. That's the problem with piggy back systems. Get a Zdyne, Haltech, Hondata, Speedpro, and get rid of all those piggy back headaches.

I have a Greddy kit and installed the VAFC and it would never run correctly. I ran it on the dyno and tuned it and lost hp. I would always get a check engine light once vtec fell off or on. I dyno'd the car with and without the VAFC and found that without the VAFC I made more HP and it runs better without it. If i was you I would just take it out and leave the blue box.
