using and alarm when you have a turbo timer...
does anyone know a way to make your alarm arm while the car is still running on the TT? just wondering, b/c otherwise i'll have to sit and wait for the car cut off before i can arm the alarm, which kinda defeats the purpose if you ask me. but anyways, i have a viper model 600 alarm, and if anyone know how to make it work, please le me know

you need a 4 prong relay and wire it in that way. it simple todo that it tricks the turbo timer as if the car was off

does it trick the TT or the alarm..... b/c i need it to trick the alarm into thinking that the car is off so i can arm it while the TT is still counting down.

My alarm doesn't arm for 30sec after I close the door, I just set my turbo timer to run for 30 sec. We wired the alarm into the acc power. All I need is to turn the key to radio to put it in valet. That way it will start counting down as soon as I turn the key all the way off.

One other thing for those who do not have an alarm or a turbo timer yet...
I've been using compustar alarm/starters for almost 3 years now and they are by far one of the best brands out there. Their new model has a built in Turbo Timer. I would definately recommend that if you are looking for a new install that you talk to your authorized compustar installer in your area and see what they have to say. I believe there was an article on getting a turbo timer and an alarm to work on vtec.net or bseries.net a few years ago. I will see if I can find this later today. |

You want to buy a SPDT relay (Single Pole Double Throw). It will allow you to trick either the alarm or the TT, whichever one you need.
If you need to trick the alarm, you can wire the relay so that when the relay receives a signal from the TT, it will cut the ignition signal to the alarm so that the alarm thinks the car is no longer running. Do some research on the web about a SPDT relay and you should see how it works. |

there used to be a diagram floating around here about the relay and wiring it to trick the car...so you can set the alarm while turbo timer is on, then when it runs out the alarm arms...
anyone still have that? |

boostedeg6: i rad the article, but the Gray wire mentioned that you wire into the relay. my gray wire on my TT goes to the e-brake, and in the article it says the brown wire is for the e-brake, well, my brown wire is the RPM signal.
ok, i understand what i need to do, i just need to clarify on what wire does what. here is what my wires are: Red- 12v constant Green- ignition Blue- 12v accessory Brown- RPM signal Gray- e-brake Black- ground |

It depends on your alarm and if the brain is capable of doing it. I had to buy a new (viper) alarm just so I can arm it while the car was still running. I know for sure viper alarm and greddy turbo timer will work together https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

those were the wires from my TT, i can get the correct wires for the alarm. i just needed to clarify what signal wires i needed to hack into from the TT

well shiet...... i have an HKS TT that doesn't have a wire that does the same thing as the brown wire........so, what are the dimensions on the GReddy TT, the HKS fits perfectly into this little coin tray looking thing below my sunroof button, i guess if the GReddy TT would fit in the spot, i could sell the HKS and buy the GRedddy

i have a viper alarm and greedy turbo timer timer is hooked up normal i took the ignition wire from the alarm and hook it to the accessory wire on the igniton switch, that make u able to turn the alarm on while the car is running next problem is the shock sensor would go off cause of engine vibration so i attached a relay that send power to the shock sensor when the timer shuts off |
